Since I have been traveling a lot recently and as many of my friends and I get ready to pack up and move across the country for college, I decided to make a list of all the helpful travel tips I have collected through the years.

1. It is so important to have a good carry-on bag that can hold all the necessary items needed for flying. Whether this is a backpack, tote, or large purse, I like to have something big enough to hold my computer and charger, emergency kit, boarding passes/passport, sweater, camera, headphones (remember to brings two types of headphones because the headphones needed to watch movies on the plane are generally use a different jack than those on the Iphones) , and phone. It is also nice to invest in a good quality bag that way you do not have to worry about it ripping or breaking mid-flight or while traveling.

Here are some of my favorite carry-on bags.

Longchamp - Medium Le Pliage Neo Nylon Top Handle Tote

This is a perfect size bag and the length of the shoulder strap makes it really easy to carry. You can fit more than enough stuff in here, and if you are filling it up to the top, you are probably bringing too much stuff!

Backpack Option: Hershel Settlement Mid Volume Backpack

I have used these backpacks for traveling and they are a great size to hold all the items you need. I like having a backpack when traveling because of the comfort of having shoulder straps. The Hershel backpacks last forever, I have had one since 7th grade (that is over five years ago now) and it is still in really good condition. They also are a reasonable price for the quality and how long they last.

2. You need a good suitcase.

This is a no-brainer, but making sure your luggage is of good quality and won't tear or rip on you is one way to make traveling a lot easier. You don't want to be that person who is stuffing too much into their carry-on bag and then it just explodes. I suggest having two luggage sizes, a carry-on and a medium sized one. The bigger one should be used for trips that are 2 weeks long or more, while the smaller one is good for trips that are a few days to ten days long.

If you need a little more organization help... opt for one of the genius pack suitcases.

This is a lightweight suitcase with a laundry compartment, packing checklist, and lots of pockets for your clothes.

3. Get a clear cosmetic bag to put all the toiletries that you are carrying on the flight.

This is such an easy way to be able to look at what items you have brought with you, and for TSA to check your liquids while in the line for security.

I love being able to see what I have because it makes it so much easier while packing to ensure I have brought everything I need for the trip. I also like to put important things like medicine and other things that I need every day in this bag, so if my main luggage gets lost, I have my necessities.

4. iPhone Case with a Credit Card Holder

These are such a convenient way to store your credit cards while traveling. At the airport, there are a few times when you need to have your ID out, so having an iPhone case with an attached wallet will make your life a breeze when you are going through security. If you are unable to have a case like this because you have a magnet on your phone and it might demagnetize your card, you can opt for a credit card holder.

5. Have a comfortable travel day outfit.

This is one of the most important parts of traveling, being comfortable. I prefer to never travel in shorts because of how cold planes can be so dressing in layers tends to be the way to go. Wearing soft shirts and leggings is my go-to outfit. I normally bring a sweatshirt and a blanket scarf to wrap up in when it gets chilly or I want to sleep on the plane.

Here are some of my top picks to be cozy and comfy while flying (or really in general)!

Soft Bodysuit

This is such a comfortable bodysuit because it is made of incredibly soft fabric. It also has a snap enclosure so it is easy to take on and off. I w0uld pair with leggings or comfortable jeans.

Comfy Jeans

I have a pair of Pistola jeans and they are so comfortable that I could sit through a ten-hour flight and not get annoyed with them. They are cute and not too expensive for how nice the quality is.

These jeans are also on sale right now so make sure to check them out!

I wear hoodies all the time when traveling because they keep you warm and cozy. This Aritiza hoodie is so cute and the cropped cut makes it perfect for high waisted leggings.

There you have my tips and tricks to help you tackle traveling and the stress of it all. I hope you enjoyed my top picks and make sure to check out all the links for the items you like!
