TRENDS FOR SUMMER 2018
With summer quickly approaching, I wanted to give you guys a sneak peek at this year's summer trends!
1. Gingham anything
This pattern is making a comeback for the second year in a row. There are super checkered cute tank tops, tube tops, matching sets, and even dresses that are perfect for summer.
2.Animal Print Swimsuits
I know what you are probably thinking, but trust me animal prints can look really flattering on all different skin tones and Monday Swimwear, one of my favorite swim companies, came out with a cheetah print one piece and bikini that is perfect for summer!
3. Vintage, High Waisted Bikinis
I am in love with the look of a 60s style high waisted swimsuit. They are so flattering on a variety of body types and if you are a little more self-conscious about your stomach, like myself, these swimsuits can give you an extra hint of confidence.
4. Gold Thick Circle Earrings
Thick gold earrings are such a staple for summer. Gold is a perfect color for summer and these thick hoops give such a classy yet effortless look.
5. Coin Necklaces
Layering necklaces has been a trend that I have been obsessed with for a while now. I have especially been seeing coin necklaces being layered with a bunch of other simple gold necklaces. This is such a simple yet delicate look and something that will be in style all summer long.
6. Platform Sneakers/ Pastel Colors
I just purchased a pair of Superga platform sneakers and I absolutely love them. They are surprisingly comfortable and add about an inch or two of height, which is great if you are on the shorter side! Pair with a floral dress or with cropped jeans and you have a simple yet trendy summer outfit. (Note if you are buying Superga's buy at least a size down because they run really big.) Also, pastel colors are a huge thing this summer, so purchase a light blue or ivory sneaker to add some color to your outfit.
7. Straw Bags
These beach inspired bags are so cute and give such a summer vibe. Style with dresses and shorts for a relaxed and beachy look or dress them up with jeans and a white blouse!

Yellow is such a pretty color for the summer. There are so many different shades of yellow ranging from bright sunflower to pale yellow. A yellow shirt paired with blue Levi shorts is such a staple summer outfit and is different than the traditional white top and jean shorts look.
9. Sandals with a pop of color
Instead of the traditional black, tan, or nude sandal, opt for a pop of color like red, pink, or even blue. They can add so much to a simple outfit and make you look really put together.
10. Laura Mercier Tinted Moisturizer/ Bali Body Tinted Moisturizer
This is super helpful for the summer. It provides a perfect amount of sheer coverage that gives you the ultimate summer glow. In addition, most of them have SPF in them, which is an essential all the time, but especially during the summer!
